6th Grade Rules:
Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Safe.
Follow the directions the first time they are given.
Raise your hand and wait to be called upon before speaking.
Stay in your seat unless otherwise directed.
Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
Specific Rules:
Be in your seat and be prepared to work.
Bring all books and materials to class.
Keep EVERYTHING school appropriate.
Be an active listener
Avoid using offensive language or disrespectful comments.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK A RULE:
First time: You will get a verbal warning.
Second time: Lunch Detention
Third time: After School Detention and Parent Contact
Fourth time: Office Referral, which can result in further disciplinary actions
IF YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE RULES (as a class):
You will be given the opportunity to choose your seats.
You will receive a Classroom Ticket, which can be used for Prizes.
You will be given Panther Paws
You will learn to the best of your ability and understand the material being taught.
CLASSROOM PROCEDURES:
Line up for class and only enter when Mrs. Nemeth has given you permission
Grab your science binder and check-out the Business Center
If you are absent, check the WYWO Binder and Absent Folder
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
I have very high expectations for each of my students. I feel that because you have successfully made it as a 6th grader in middle school, you are mature enough to make a change in your life and you should be able to create exceptional work. Knowing what direction you want to go in life is a huge step; therefore, I know that you can work to the best of your ability to achieve that goal. I expect that you will follow directions, rules, and procedures without question. I expect that you will participate and turn-in work that was done on your own and with great effort. I expect that you will work with your peers and me to help prepare you for life after high school. Ultimately, I expect that Science skills will improve drastically throughout the school year with your hard work and effort, and my teaching.
